Applesauce Cinnamon Brownies Recipe

This rich applesauce brownies recipe is sure to be a hit with your guests. Made with cinnamon and walnuts, the applesauce brownies have a nutty texture that makes it a lot more enjoyable to eat.

 

Ingredients:

1. 7.5 ounces of Domino light brown sugar.

2.  A teaspoon of Frontier pure vanilla extract.

3. One and quarter teaspoon of cassia cinnamon (regular cinnamon).

4. One cup of Santa Cruz organic apple cinnamon sauce.

5. 4.5 ounces of chopped walnuts.

6. 4.5 ounces of plain flour (all purpose).

7. Two medium eggs.

8.  Half a teaspoon of Deerfield Farms natural baking soda.

9. A quarter cup of Hershey's unsweetened cocoa.

10. A pinch of table salt.

11. 110 grams of butter.

12. Half a teaspoon of Kraft Calumet baking powder

 

Preparation:

1. Power on the oven and preheat it to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Take a big bowl and add in the Domino light brown sugar, eggs and butter. Mix the ingredients well and then add in the cinnamon applesauce along with the teaspoon of Frontier vanilla extract. Mix the ingredients together and then blend using an electric blender.

2. Now take another bowl and add in the all purpose flour, Calumet baking powder, cassia cinnamon, baking soda, Hershey's unsweetened cocoa and table salt. Mix the ingredients well and then transfer the mixture into the bowl containing the brown sugar mix. Stir the applesauce brownies mixture well and then add in the chopped walnuts.

3. Now, take an 8 inch square shaped baking pan and coat the base and sides of the pan with butter. Pour the applesauce brownies mix into the greased pan and place it in the oven. Let it bake for about half an hour or till the center of the applesauce brownies are baked well. Let the brownies cool before serving.
